Design Service
Brief
This first stage involves the gathering of information. We conduct an onsite meeting where we take the time to fully understand your home, your personal taste, likes and dislikes, your lifestyle needs and aspirations. We learn about how you wish the space to feel, how you currently use the space and how you would like to use it in the future, what specific things are important to you, to what you'd like the focal points to be. We will take photographs, sketches and measurements of the floor plan and discuss budget and timescale. Following the briefing stage we will provide a proposal outlining the brief as we understand it, including an estimated budget for the Furniture, Fittings & Equipment (FF&E) along with our associated design fee.
Concept
Following approval of the brief we begin creating the concept designs and proposals that we will present to you. This consists of detailed floor plans, mood boards consisting of samples and imagery of all proposed finishes and suggested furniture and / or joinery and 2D elevations. During this stage we invite you to give thorough feedback urging you to share your thoughts very honestly. We want to ensure we are fulfilling the client brief and that your aspirations are being reflected in our designs. From your feedback we can then make any amendments and enhance the design.
Detail Design
After the clients approval, we then move to the design development stage where our focus is on attention to detail and creating detailed plans which are then presented showing all final Furniture, Fittings & Equipment (FF&E) including accessories. At this stage a fully itemised breakdown of costs will be provided in accordance to the agreed budget.
Completion
Once the client has agreed the final design, the schedule of work will be outlined and agreed. We will then begin to project manage. The production of any custom-made furniture will begin and orders of the Furniture, Fittings & Equipment (FF&E) will be placed and confirmed. We will work closely with trustworthy contractors making regular site visits to ensure our designs are being carried out to their exact specifications and progress is being made at the expected rate. We will keep the client updated throughout the process. Once all work is completed we will visit your property to install soft furnishings and the finishing touches.
